I have enjoyed getting to know all the new mamas linking up and sharing their lives with us! I can't wait to hear more from you all again this week!

Motherhood has its seriousness and frustration as well as its laughs. That's why we are here. Life is much easier when traveled with companions! So mamas, let's join together in the spirit of motherhood and share our moments together. We want to hear the happy, sad, tough, terrible, hilarious moments that make being a mother the best job in the world!

The top viewed post this past week was Finding God in Heartbreak, a moving story of God's grace in the life of Samantha from Godly Womanhood. Samantha beautifully and bravely shares her story of depression and hopelessness and the love and joy she found as God rescued her from the desperation of her life. Thank you so much for sharing your heart with us Samantha!

Happy Birthday Evelynne Lorain!

Dearest Evelynne, I cannot believe I'm writing your twenty four month update on the blog today! These two years have been so special and I can't even describe how joyful I am to call you my daughter.. You've made my dreams come true dear one.

You turning two today is so bittersweet for me. I love watching you grow, learning new things and discovering who you are even more but at the same time I just want you to be young forever. I never want you to be to big to be carried around, to be tucked into bed at night and read a story too! But then again maybe that's why these things are so special. Because we know they won't last forever so cherish them. And I do! I pray I never take these things for granted.

These have been the best two years of our lives sweet girl!! Happy Birthday Evelynne Lorain! Now lets go eat some Ice cream cake. ;)
Evelynne's 2 year update.

What's new this month:
You're officially two and no longer a baby.... Well, you'll always be my baby! =D

You've developed a new love for little babies and it's really the cutest thing ever.

Your communication is fantastic now! I rarely have trouble figuring out what you want.

This Marriage thing..It's worth it!

I post pictures of date nights with my husband, but it doesn't mean we're all smiles all the time.

Almost three years into Marriage and we're still finding out new things about each other and still trying to figure out how to live with one another.

My husband.. I love him! Words couldn't even describe. But not because I'm fallen over heels in the clouds for him 24/7.. Because I'm not. I love him because I choose to. Sometimes I feel love towards him, and sometimes I don't. Sometimes we don't even like each other...

Sometimes we really like each other.. A LOT!

But one thing that really keeps us both going and choosing to love each other is love itself.. Because love has the power to break and erase all faults that we see in each other.
And it's not the kind of love that Hollywood demonstrates where love is all about passion and hot sex.. that I personally find myself gagging at.

Or  fantasies that many women (including myself) have always thought their marriage would be like..

Truth is, Marriage.. It's not about loving a perfect person who fulfills your every desire and leaving you up in the clouds 24/7.

It's a ministry where two imperfect people come together and choose to love one another for The Glory of God. And boy God can do amazing things with a Married couple after His own heart!

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Mathew 18:20.

In these almost three years I've learned many things about Marriage and what love really is.. And if I were to share some advice with a newly wedded woman or even a single woman today I'd tell her that this Marriage thing, it isn't always easy..  But man is it worth it!

It's worth it to choose love and sacrifice then to just give up when things aren't going your way.

Because even though Marriage is about selflessness it comes back and benefits you more then you could ever imagine.. Because God is the Author of love and He certainly knows how to write a love story.

Leon and I have had countless amount of arguments in the past. One even lasted for two days *facepalm. Haha and I don't even remember what it was about!

However, Those nights are easily  forgotten about when we're loving on each other while going on a coffee date, or watching late night movies, or even family walks with our sweet daughter.

Leon and I have so many of  "Our songs" some are from Taylor Swift, Elton John, and Elvis.. Those are songs that remind us of each other and gives us goose bumps for each other. And though we've considered using those songs for our wedding. The ones that tell our story, about our cute love story and obsession with each other we decided to take another direction and chose a song that is "Our song" above all others.
Leon and I came across this song on youtube one day and immediately started dancing to it. It is the only love song that brings tears to both of our eyes and remembering what love really is. It's selfless, patient, kind and most importantly it never fails! It's the strongest and greatest  weapon that God gave us..

And in our Marriage, Love is something Leon and I have chosen to do.. Not because we're perfect and it's certainly not easy all the time... But it's worth it and even better love never fails!

I am His Own.

God has recently revealed to my heart that I often care too much about what people think.. And Leon has mentioned millions of times about how I need to just let what people "say to me" and "about me" go in one ear and out the other. Why is this so hard for me to let go? Am I still a slave to people? I have no desire to be and yet every time someone speaks an opinion of me I receive it with both arms, dwell on it, over think about it and often cry.

Why is it so hard for me to shut my mind up and remind myself who I really am in Christ?! A warrior, a daughter, a Princess? One who's worth is far above rubies? Why is it so hard sometimes to believe that about myself? Possibly because I'm still so focused on my works and not focused of what He did to give me His identity?

Honestly, how dare I think badly of myself when Heaven went bankrupt to bring me back into the presence of my Father.

Todd White (My Spiritual hero!) Speaks so amazingly and beautifully about how we need to really know our identity in Christ. He talks often about how he is not out of his mind but out of the mind of everyone else because He really only cares about what Jesus thinks of Him. I so long to be out of the mind of everyone. To be free from that.

I'm so done with the lies of the enemy. Telling me I'm not good enough, that I'm an orphan and that I'm not loved or qualified to do the impossible. I'm  so done with the enemy convincing me that I'm not being heard,  seen, and pursued. When the truth is My Father does see me, He knows me, He hears me and above all He loves me with a love that even I can't describe. I want to know who I am in Christ and above that I want to live who I am in Christ! I don't just want to know but I want to walk with that identity following me everywhere I go so that when people see me they will want what I have. The Most amazing King.

If you have been struggling with identity like I have and you need a reminder of who you really are. I deeply encourage you to get lost into this song and claim your identity in Christ. It's time to take back what the enemy has stolen. :)
                                                                                We are fearless.
We are whole.
We are His Own.
We are no longer blind.
He set us free.
We are not orphans.
We're alive
We are all that He says we are! =D
